JACKSON PREP SHOW CHOIR MASTERS

Northwest Rankin celebrates the hardware it took home from Jackson Prep Masters. (@jpperforming)
The only competition of the weekend that featured a multi-group large division bout was set in Jackson, Mississippi. It was here that Northwest Rankin came out on top over Jackson Academy, gaining their first Grand Championship of the season. It was NWR's third-ever GC and their first since 2023. Northwest Rankin’s womens group beat their own mens group to win the Single-Gender division, and Morton got an automatic division win with Clinton Christian Academy dropping out right before the competition. The full results are below (four finalists):
GC) Northwest Rankin “The Ambassadors” (BC/BV)
1RU) Jackson Academy "Encore” (Show Design)
2RU) Spain Park “Rhapsody In Blue”
3RU) Northwest Rankin “The Allure”
1st in 3A) Northwest Rankin “The Allure”
1st in 1A) Morton “One A’Chord”
1st in Single Gender) Northwest Rankin “The Allure”
TALLASSEE CAPITAL CITY CLASSIC

Auburn Varsity Singers takes the stage for the first time in 2025. (@andaleestrickland)
Auburn Varsity Singers swept this competition, but this was expected as there were no other large mixed groups competing here (although Hoover was just seven points short of upsetting Auburn). However, there was a solid amount of competition everywhere else. Hoover came out of the gate swinging, upsetting Vestavia Hills in middle mixed class A. Both Tift County single-gender groups upset those from Auburn. Chelsea beat Lakeside and Eufaula in small mixed. The results are below (no finals):
GC) Auburn “Varsity Singers” (BV/BC/Show Design)
1st in Large Mixed) Auburn “Varsity Singers”
1st in Middle Mixed Class A) Hoover “Paradigm”
1st in Womens Division) Tift County “Ladies Choice”
1st in Mens Division) Tift County “Tiftostertone”
1st in Middle Mixed Class B) Helena “High Frequency”
1st in Small Mixed) Chelsea “Out of the Blue”
OUT OF TOWN
While not competing in a competition down south, it's worth mentioning Brandon’s trip up north to compete in the Millard West Music Lives competition. Although they didn’t place as high as they were hoping to, Brandon still finished as First Runner-Up Overall, just behind Westside Amazing Technicolor Show Choir. Brandon Bellas won the womens division and advanced to finals, claiming fifth overall.
