News and Notes
Brownsburg re-enters Top 10: After falling out of the top ten last week, Brownsburg takes the tenth spot this week after winning the Avon Vocal Invitational, sweeping both vocals and visuals at the event. In the victory, Brownsburg defeated Plainfield and Castle, two impressive Indiana large mixed groups, and Oklahoma contender Jenks.
Lafayette Jeff Remains Strong: First Edition took their third grand championship of the year over the weekend at Bishop Luers, which is their most grand championships in a season since 1988. The group has especially impressed vocally this year, taking three of four possible vocal captions. Lafayette Jefferson will close out a very challenging schedule at Wheaton Warrenville South, where they will take on Nebraska powerhouse Westside and South Dakota standout Mitchell.
Calm before the Storm: None of the top seven groups in the rankings competed last week, with many groups taking a break before hitting the peak of their season. This upcoming week will see two top four matchups, with Center Grove and Zionsville dueling at Fairfield and Franklin Central and Carmel facing off at Brownsburg.

News and Notes
Starlight wins at Avon: Brownsburg won their second grand championship of the season at Avon, sweeping both vocal and visual captions at the event, and defeating ninth ranked Plainfield. The previous week, Starlight impressed with a second place and best vocals at Glenwood just behind Esprit, an Illinois women’s group that’s one of the best in the country.
Indiana and Ohio Face Off: Following a week off, Center Grove and Zionsville will return to action in Ohio. At Fairfield, top ranked Center Grove Debtones will take on the fifth ranked Zionsville Choralaires as well as Ohio's second ranked Loveland Allure and fourth ranked Marysville Swingers Select. Allure made overall finals last week at Mt. Zion with a powerful Dolly Parton show, but will have to contend with Debtones in a Dolly vs Dolly showdown on Saturday.
Top Four Groups Meet at Brownsburg: Carmel Accents and Franklin Central High Voltage will compete against each other for the first time this season after each taking a break last week. Both won their competitions the previous week in full major caption sweeps.

Small Mixed
Roncalli “Royal Rhapsody” (3 first-place votes, NC)
Huntington North “Varsity Singers” (+1)
Pendleton Heights “Pendletones” (-1)
New Castle “Red Hot Blues” (NC)
Northridge “Northern Lights” (NC)
Receiving Votes: Mooresville “Spotlighters”, Jay County “Patriot Edition”
News and Notes
Pendleton drops with Shock Third Place: Pendleton Heights dropped to third place in the rankings this week with a surprise third place in the small mixed division at the Avon Vocal Invitational behind Mooresville and Danville. Pendletones had won the event for the past five years. While the result seems rocky, they hope to stand on solid ground this weekend when they face New England’s best at Bishop Hendricken.
Huntington North Heats Up: Varsity Singers took third ahead of Northrop and Northridge over the weekend to advance to second in the rankings. However, the top three will be settled following ISSMA state finals, which will likely see all of the top three, including Huntington North’s first time competing against Roncalli and Pendleton this season.

Cathedral “Irish Adrenaline” (+1)
Jay County “Just Treble” (1 first-place vote, -1)

News and Notes
Cathedral Concludes Perfect Indiana Circuit Run: Irish Adrenaline took their fourth grand championship of the season at New Palestine over the weekend, closing out a four competition Indiana season. Cathedral will next take on the national stage: competing at FAME Show Choir America, where they will take on two Oklahoma prep groups.
Third and Fourth Face Off at Columbia City: Third-ranked Jay County will face fourth-ranked Huntington North for the second time this season. In their first meeting in mid-February, Just Treble got the better of Viking Volume, taking the overall grand championship and best vocals in a split-caption decision.
